Native plant seed collection for ecological restoration – An event in collaboration with Environment Haliburton

Are you interested in learning about restoring ecosystem? Native plant seed collection is one of the most important activities for restoring ecosystems and it is something everyone can learn how to do and participate in! This event, done in partnership with Environment Haliburton, will focus on teaching you about native plant ecology, how to collect seeds, how those seeds can be useful for restoring ecosystems, how to get started with native wildflower horticulture and more! The seeds we collect will be used to further the ecological restoration projects at abbey gardens! (and we may be able to give you a few to take home and plant in your garden too!).
