Join Dr. Steven Paiero, Curator of the University of Guelph Insect Collection for a presentation on Ontario’s lost native ladybugs. You will learn about identification, preferred habitat, life cycle and threats. Once common in Ontario, there have been no records of the nine-spotted ladybug, or the transverse ladybug, since the mid 1990s and they are now both listed as endangered species. However, it is believed that there may still be some populations around. Your sleuthing efforts may help scientists discover these populations.
