Organization of Events
Our events are organized into four categories:
1. Education
Land Trust Discovery Days is a series of educational workshops, guided walks and presentations which are funded by the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation. Most events are offered by donation and are family friendly.
2. Fundraising
The Haliburton Highlands Land Trust relies on the generous support of donors, sponsors and the general public. We invite you to lend your support by participating or attending a HHLT fundraising event.
3. Special Events
The announcement of the HHLT Enviro-heroes, our holiday open house, and the Dahl Forest Bioblitz held in 2017 are examples of special events that HHLT have offered in the past. Our team of volunteers is always thinking of special ways to engage people as we all work towards protecting the land we love for future generations.
4. Conservation and Research
HHLT is involved in a variety of research and conservation projects on the properties we own and on lands and waters within Haliburton County.
