Dahl Forest Campaign

Adopt an Acre

Seventy years ago, Dahl Forest was abandoned farmland. Now it’s a thriving nature reserve. Help the Haliburton Highlands Land Trust keep it that way by securing an acre of land for just $50.

Make Dahl Forest part of your tomorrow – today.

For more information, please see our Dahl Forest – Adopt an Acre Campaign Brochure, YouTube promotional video or call the office 705-457-3700.

You can also listen – near the end of this sound clip – to an interview by Mike Jaycock of Canoe FM with past-Chair Sheila Ziman,  and Simon Payn, Past Board Director.

When you adopt an acre, you receive a:

  • Certificate – if requested or if the donations is a gift/in honour of another individual
  • Charitable Tax Receipts – for every one-acre adoptions of $50.00
  • You also get to select the acre you wish to protect on our large wall map in the office
